March is National Nutrition Month!
1 pound pitted, ground dates (If they’re too hard, microwave for a minute and allow to cool.)
1 cup unsalted pistachios, shelled and crushed into small pieces
1 cup unsalted cashews, crushed into very tiny pieces
1 cup fine cut oatmeal or 1 cup wheat germ or a combination of both
3 tablespoons sesame paste
Mix these ingredients together with a large, wooden spoon, or better yet, with clean hands, until thoroughly blended.
Place on a parchment paper on a baking pan.
Bake at 320 degrees for 25 minutes.
When cool, you can roll them in unsweetened, ground coconut.
